This photograph has got to be the longest time so far I spent on post-processing. Reason 1: My Epson 3170 scanner really sucked at 35mm negatives, although it does medium format ones very well. Now this is probably one of the reasons why I'm having evil thoughts about getting a Mamiya 6 rangefinder. But that's besides the point. Reason 2: Admittedly, the Yashica GSN doesn't handle too well in cases of very bright light, especially closer to the edge of the lens. In this case I had to literally dissect the photograph to adjust levels. My guess is that a polarizing filter or something similar would reduce this problem. Conclusion 1: Wait for kind soul to donate better 35mm film scanner. Conclusion 2: Stop laziness and mount on appropriate filter.
